Convent of the Sacred Heart wanted to show all the opportunities students have which can’t necessarily be photographed. My solution was to combine photographs of the students taken on a seamless background with watercolor illustrations. Students studying Mandarin became visitors to the Great Wall of China, while girls researching astronauts are walking on the surface of the moon.
We worked with the Director of Publications to art direct the photos. I was responsible for making selects, showing mock ups, creating the backgrounds and creating the composites in Photoshop.
